Karen McKenney-Dyer

Karen McKenney-Dyer has been with the Rainbow Company since 1980, serving as artistic director since 1992. With a Bachelor’s of Art in Performance from the University of Rhode Island and a Master’s of Art in Child Drama from  Arizona State University, Karen has extensive academic and professional credentials. After receiving her Master’s degree, Karen left Tempe for Sunnyvale, California where she was an actress and director at the California Theatre Center. Since moving to Las Vegas, Karen has taught acting at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the College of Southern Nevada, acted and directed at CSN. Under her direction, the company was awarded the 2007 Governor’s Arts Award and the prestigious 2010 Medallion Award from the Children’s Theatre Foundation of America.
